ABC's Peter Goers New DASA Ambassador
Dancing Association of South Australia is proud to announce Peter Goers to be the 2011 Ambassador of Dance.
Peter Goers presents the evening show on 891 ABC Adelaide across SA and into the Silver City of Broken Hill. He has worked in the Theatre (his first love) for forty years.
He was educated at Woodville Primary School, Findon High School and Flinders University. He lived for three years in Turkey where he was known as "Australian Delight". He taught drama in universities in Istanbul.
Peter was honoured as the SA Local Hero in the Australian of the Year Awards in 2011 for community service. He has two left feet but admires DanceSport. He is a long time collumnist with the Sunday Mail and describes himself as a "A Reformed Social Irritant".
